Amazing weekend at the military and 1940s-themed event at Thoresby Park near Newark, Notts!

The show was packed with fascinating displays, featuring a wide array of WWII military hardware. Enthusiasts were on hand to share their extensive knowledge, offering detailed insights and powerful stories of bravery from the war—truly eye-opening and moving.

The reenactment groups were a highlight, staging incredibly realistic battle skirmishes between Allied and German forces. Their passion and attention to detail were infectious—I found myself wanting to get involved and seriously considering this as a potential new hobby!

There were also numerous stalls selling military memorabilia, from uniforms to authentic wartime relics, making it a paradise for collectors and history buffs alike.

Live music from vintage 1940s performers dressed in period attire added a perfect touch of nostalgia and atmosphere to the event.
