• 1943 791 bombers drop 2000 tons of bombs on Hamburg trying to devastate  the armaments industry 12 planes were lost on this mission
• 1953 Battle of Samichon river raged over last few days of war it was Australias last battle
• 1965 4 F-4 c Phantom jets were targeted by SAM guided missiles supplied by China and Russia to Vietnamese ,one plane shot down other 3 damaged by these lethally accurate weapons
