- 1942 Newzealand troops capture Kidney ridge N,Africa after 3 days fighting against Rommel army they capture 2600 of his troops and 115 artillery guns
- 1966 operation Hastings US marines push back the people’s Army of Vietnam back across the Demilitarised zone.
