• 1914 due to previous days killing Sarajevo exploded in ethnic violence against ethnic Serbs with around 1000 homes burnt and arrests followed of assailants in assassination.
• 1944 RAF using 250 Lancaster bombers carpet bomb Cologne resulting in major damages to Cathedral and much of city is in ruin.
• 1950 US Navy fires first naval bombardment into Samchok area of Korea.
