• 1812 Frances Napoleon invades Russian with 600,000 troops but it does not end well.
• 1945 British planes bomb bridge over river Kwai which had been built with slave  labour by prisoner of war captives.
• 1954 French troops abandon defensive positions at Ankhe Vietnam and loose considerable men and around 85% of vehicles from Vietnam Cong attacks.
