• 1914 The first battle of WW1 starts when German forces attack Belgium city of Liege which held on strongly until German heavy artillery pounded the Forts which were holding out and helped slow down invasion of France
• 1964 US Congress pass resolution to escalate military involvement in Vietnam after Tomlin incident
• 1965 Indo-Pakistan war starts with the largest tank battle since WW2 this conflict lasts 17 days with large casualties on both sides
