Born in 1927, Philip Hunt joined the South Lancashire Regiment to complete his national service at the age of 18 years, taking on the role of sniper.

He served in Yemen, Egypt and Palestine. 

The main picture is of him (left) and his proud brother Dennis walking through the streets of Chester.
