Served 1998 - 2003.
Joined in Jan '98. Did basic training at Pirbright and posted straight to 8 Regt RLC. Did HGV course at DST Leconfield, then straight to Ireland. After that, I went back to Catterick and then posted to Bosnia, providing comms for worldwide forces. Afterwards went back to Catterick then within 4 months left for the Falklands. I did 2 x tours of 6 months including 2 weeks R&R in Ascension Islands which was amazing and just as Iraq kicked off, I shipped out to Germany.
Here’s my list of countries I went to: Croatia, Germany, Ascension Islands, Holland.
Met some cracking lads and enjoyed my stint.
