My grandad was a rear gunner in lancaster bombers ,the most dangerous job to have in a plane back then .
He flew 22 missions and survived the war which was an amazing achievement itself.
He recieved 2 campaign medals , 1939 - 1945 war medal and 1939- 1945 star .
