Red Stars Wünsdorf Museum

While the Garrison Museum deals with German military history from the German Empire to the end of the Second World War, the "Red Star" museum is dedicated to the period of Soviet occupation from 1945 to 1994. In a converted former horse stable, the exhibition is divided into two main areas. In the first area, all important topics and events relating to the presence of the Soviet army in the GDR are presented. The second area is intended to provide an insight into everyday life in the so-called "Forbidden City" with an exhibition of military artifacts and everyday objects.
