Crowland & Thorney 1940s Weekend

Join us for a fabulous 40s weekend at Thorney near Peterborough. The Crowland and Thorney 1940s Weekend is a chance to step back in time, bring people together to celebrate the past, share stories, and connect with living history groups and reenactors who bring history to life.

The 40s were a significant time for the country and doubly so for Crowland with the flood in 1947. The incredible Crowland Buffalo LVT which is 80 years old this year will be on display as well as many living history group, trade stands, military vehicles, classic cars and much more. With wide a concrete path around the main barn it’s easy to get around whatever the weather.
