Experience history come alive at Avro Heritage Museum’s 1940s Weekend!
Step back in time with live entertainment and see amazing re-enactors in action, as well as food, drink and local stalls.
Highlights include:
- Live music from the fabulous Lancashire Belle, The Blondies and Bertie Blighty
- The Robinson brewery dray with shire horses
- DJ Windy Train: Swing-dancing to popular 1940s music, under the wings of the iconic Vulcan!
- 1940s Re enactors, Military police, Policeman, Fireman
- Meet & Greet with Sir Winston Churchill on Sunday
- On Saturday hear about the life of Nancy the Land Girl, interview by Silk FM at 1300 hrs
- Exhibition of the fallen of the 2 World Wars including a special Dambuster display
- Steam engines and vehicles
- Licensed bar serving drinks for all the family – including draft and bottled genuine German Beers, cocktails and soft drinks
- A range of great food stalls, including a hog roast
